U13 Boys open the fall with a win

Eli and Carter scored inside the first ten minutes and the U13 Boys beat Brookside Rovers 3-1 on opening day.

Brookside pulled one back before half. Carter added his second late on. Mateo won nearly every ball in the middle.

It was the team's first game on the full-size field. Three of the boys said the goal looked twice as big.

Priya opens the fall with a clean sheet win

The U12 Girls started the fall 2-0 over Westmoor FC. Priya scored early, low across the keeper, and Maya added the second in the second half. Ella kept the clean sheet.

It was the first game in the new long-sleeve kits, and 84 degrees. Most of the sleeves were rolled up before kickoff.

U10 Boys lose the opener on the hill at Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls FC won 2-1. Leo scored in the first half; Cedar Falls scored twice after the break, the second a long shot that bounced over Jonah.

The Cedar Falls field runs downhill toward one goal. The boys spent the whole first half arguing about which end was uphill, while playing on it.
