That's a wrap on the spring
Clean sheet to close the spring

The U12 Girls finished their home season with a 2-0 win over Elm Grove SC.
Ava scored on a give-and-go with Maya in the first half. The second went in off an Elm Grove defender from Jess's cross. Ella kept the clean sheet.
After the final whistle the team made a tunnel for the U8s coming off the next field.
U10 Boys end the spring level with Fox Hollow

The season finale went back and forth and finished 2-2, with Sam tying it on a low shot near the end.
Jonah played every minute in goal for the first time.
The parents had a water balloon fight waiting after the handshake line.
U13 Boys fall just short against Harwich Valley

Harwich Valley scored twice in the first half and held on to win 2-1. Eli pulled one back from a corner early in the second, and the U13 Boys had most of the ball from there without finding a second.
Ben made seven saves.
Coach Rich called the second half the best thirty minutes of the spring.

Spotlight
Coach Beth Carlson
U12 Girls head coach
Q: What stood out this spring? A: Ella deciding she was a goalkeeper. She asked in April, and by June she was organizing the whole back line. Nobody told her to do that. Q: A moment you will keep? A: Nora's first goal, with her grandmother on the sideline. I have coached a long time and that still gets me. Q: What are you working on for the fall? A: Corners. We scored off two this spring and gave up three. Q: Advice for parents over the summer? A: Let them play something else. Come back in August bored of the beach.
“Come back in August bored of the beach.”
