Nora's first goal, and meet our keeper

Nora's first goal earns a draw with Lakeview

Nora scored her first ever goal, a header off Priya's corner midway through the second half, and it nearly held up. Lakeview United tied it 1-1 on a penalty in the last minute.

Ella made six saves in goal, including a full-stretch dive in the first half.

Nora's grandmother drove up from New Jersey for the game. It was the first time she had seen her play.

U10 Boys fall to Stonebridge

Stonebridge FC were quick on the wings all afternoon and won 4-1.

The U10 Boys' goal was a good one: Theo from well outside the box, into the top corner. Marcus never stopped chasing, right to the final whistle.

Coach Dave told the team it was the best they had passed all season, whatever the score said.

Lily scores two, and a dog steals the show

The U9 Girls beat Elm Grove SC 3-1. Lily scored twice and Zoe added one; Elm Grove scored right at the end.

Midway through the second half, half the team stopped to watch a dog chase a ball on the next field. So did the ref.

Ella Brennan

U12 Girls, goalkeeper

Six saves against Lakeview, including a full-stretch dive that kept the game level. Ella asked to play in goal last fall after a teammate got hurt and has not given the gloves back since.

“I like that everybody is yelling at me and I just have to ignore them.”

Snack bar volunteers needed for May

We still have four open Saturday shifts at the snack bar. It is two hours, and all proceeds go to the field lights fund. Reply to this email to grab one.
